Shortsmark support
Help with source submission, private notes, account data, and rights reports.
Join the Android beta
The native Android app is available for Android 8 or later through an invite-only Google Play internal test. You need an invitation before the opt-in link will work.
- Request beta access with the Google account email you use in the Play Store. Never send your password.
- After you are invited, open the Google Play opt-in link with that same Google account and choose to become a tester.
- Follow the Google Play download link on the opt-in page to install the app. Sign in with the Google account connected to your existing Shortsmark account to access your saved library.
If the app is unavailable, check that Play is using the invited Google account. Before review, Play may show the app as “com.jadonglab.shortsmark (unreviewed).” This is an early release; send bugs, feedback, or access questions to dkim@jadonglab.com.
Get help
Email dkim@jadonglab.com with your device type, app version, the step that failed, and any error message you can safely share. Do not attach the source document or confidential material to a support email.
File and text problems
PDF, DOCX, TXT, and Markdown are supported. Files must be no larger than 10 MB, PDFs no longer than 100 pages, and extracted text no longer than 100,000 characters. OCR is not available for scanned PDFs. A failed private source is not retained, so correct the issue and submit it again.
Copyright and content reports
Only submit material you own, are licensed or authorized to use, or are otherwise legally permitted to have Shortsmark process. Public availability alone does not give you permission. See the copyright policy for the rights-report process. There is no public note page. Android users can flag an AI answer using Report answer inside the conversation.
Subscriptions and billing
Where you bought the subscription decides who handles it. Manage and cancel Android subscriptions in Google Play, where receipts and refund requests are also available. A subscription bought inside the iOS app is managed and canceled in your Apple Account subscription settings, and Apple handles its receipts and refunds. A subscription bought on the web is managed through the Polar customer portal, and billing questions go to support@polar.sh. See the Terms of Service for renewal, cancellation, and refund terms.
Delete your account
Open Settings and choose Delete account, in the Android or iOS app, or on the web. This permanently deletes your account, saved notes, and source metadata. Renewal of a web subscription is stopped before the account is deleted, but Google Play and App Store subscriptions are not canceled by deleting your account. Cancel them in the store where you subscribed.
Privacy and deletion
Removing a private note permanently deletes its content and source metadata, but does not refund the period credit already used. See the Privacy Policy for processing and retention details.
